Thanks for the insight on this guys, I'm sorry but I couldn't work on the package for the last week.

My original thought when first making this PKGBUILD was to have a different package in AUR for every frontend. Back then pkg splitting was not implemented and the soon to be default GUI of VBA-M was going to be Qt. That never happened :-D.

So now, extending that thought I think the best is to keep this package free of extra dependencies as vba-m-gtk-svn and adding a new package vba-m-wx-svn in the AUR (and also vba-m-cli-svn).
Splitting this PKGBUILD would be quite a hack from my POV, and would mean more work for me as well as everyone building the package.

I will upload a new PKGBUILD revision here with WxGTK off, thus emulating the older behaviour of this package and based on input I might upload the others.

I guess one could maybe split the package or something, since they still seem to also have the straight gtk interface as well as the new wx interface.

I think you can just set ENABLE_CAIRO, ENABLE_OPENAL and ENABLE_WX to OFF to skip the need for wxgtk.

Then again, going from maintaining one package to three packages might not be very fun.

This project (not the PKGBUILD) seems to be all over the place. I agree it seems that we now need wxgtk which in turn pulls in gstreamer deps. With the already required deps as well thats a lot of deps for a gba emulator :/

Found a pre-Wx branch @ https://vbam.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/vbam/branches/Pre-Wx/

This seems to depend on wxgtk.

Strange, when I install arch 64 bit and 32 in second partition,in 32 I can`t build - something is wrong like in my first partition with arch. But in 64 bit everything is good. Same packpage, configuration and file system... Like svn is freezing and after that computer work but nothing do.

But problem start when cmake was update in extra. Few days ago everything downloads from svn. Connection is fine...

@zuargo

That is the same url. You mean the https? I could change it but it's quite the same.

@Derson5

First of all, don't build packages as root unless you have too :)
Secondly, the stage where you think it stops is when the source is being checkout from svn. The pkgbuild is fine. Maybe you had connection problems?
