For Zelda four swords, Joybus of vbam-wx from community repo worked great on Archlinux (dolphin version 4.0-5923, testing dolphin 4.0.2). Now I am modifing a patch(http://sourceforge.net/p/vbam/patches/55, now it is not working for the current svn 1239) for porting vbam from SFML 1.6 to SFML 2.2.

I don't remember a time when it worked correctly on linux, I haven't tried for a while either. You might want to monitor this instead https://github.com/mgba-emu/mgba. It is very promising and already better than vba-m imho (vba-m is pretty much dead anyway), they have joybus/link in their plans.

Link/Joybus gives out 'Unable to find driver'. Ironically, joybus from the "wined" windows version of VBAM works great with the native linux version of dolphin-emu...

Thx, package updated. Also added a patch to build against ffmpeg 2.x.

The sourceforge link doesn't work. SF redirects you to an irrelevant page instead of giving a 404.

Try this one instead: http://www.sfml-dev.org/files/SFML-1.6-sdk-linux-64.tar.gz

Apparently link is now disabled by default which explains why you can't find it. I added it back to the PKGBUILD, it links sfml and soil statically like I did in community.
Link is WX only so you won't find it in the GTK build. As for why it doesn't work, you should take that question upstream, I don't think I managed to make it work either when I last tried (which was a long time ago) and I can't test anymore.

Hello,

I have tried your packages in both community and aur but I am getting an issue and thought of reporting it to you.

I am trying to use joybus to connect VBAM to dolphin-emu.
The issue is that on Community packages, I only see the joybus option with -wx, which would be fine if it worked but it doesn't. When I load the GBA bios, I get nothing but a white screen...
Whereas when I do the same on -gtk, it loads the bios just fine, but there is no joybus option...

I tried your svn packages, but it's worse, I can't find joybus in the -wx-svn anymore (it still doesn't load my bios correctly so that doesn't really matter), and the -gtk-svn still doesn't have that option (nor can I find it on the cli one).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey, I came up with a plit PKGBUILD for this based on my community PKGBUILD. I'll be mergingvbam-gtk-svn and vbam-wx-svn into it. Also I plan on updating vbam in community to r1229 once I figure out why vbam-wx crashes on exit and displays weird characters in the title bar.
