After the last upgrade i noticed a bug in the initramfs hook.

libgcc_s.so.1 did not get copied into the ramfs. this is due to the fact that find does not seem to like to search in /lib. It works when I search /usr/lib but takes ages and finds other copies from applications like insync first.

Could you just copy /usr/lib/libgcc_s.so.1 into the ramfs directly without searching it in /usr/lib? That path seems to be pretty stable to me.

If other people from the community hit the error message "libgcc_s.so.1 for pthread_cancel to work" just edit /etc/mkinitcpio.conf and add "/usr/lib/libgcc_s.so.1 /usr/lib/libgcc_s.so" to FILES.
