Looks like Blenta fixed the start-up bug. :) Big thanks. I was also able to remove the start-up script logic, to work around the previous bug.

I've submitted the new version (4.0.18), but the mystery bug remains. Removing the .asaf and .yaoqiang directories in the home directory seems to help (but move them to another place, so you don't loose them in case it wouldn't help).

Version 4.0.17 publish is on hold due to bug #330:

A word of warning: you are advised to use Oracle Java implementation for running this software. This is due to differences in Swing Framework between OpenJDK and Oracle's Jave SE. Any bugs found with OpenJDK probably won't be fixed unless they're also present when running the app with Oracle's Java SE.

Good news. :) Blenta (the software author) fixed the Java 7/8 issue quickly. Many thanks. :)

The package has been updated to 4.0.11. :)

Ok, it's not that simple. Modifying the PKGBUILD file is easy, but there are some things that make it not run with Java 7 or 8. Building from source is also complicated, because it uses GUI tools with no means of compiling from command line. The online documentation or the SVN code is not helpful at all.

I'll create a PKGBUILD file for version 4.0.10 tomorrow. The internal download structure has changed, so a little remake is in order (same thing that I did with modelio-open package).
