It seems the exact same issue is still present:

Seems like there's a build issue:
==> Starting build()...
./ufo2map -gamedir unittest -v 4 -nice 19 -quant 4 -soft maps/test_routing.map
make: ./ufo2map: Command not found
build/modules/testall.mk:142: recipe for target 'unittest/maps/test_routing.bsp' failed

@greenmanalishi: thx for pointing that out, scheduled to take care of this within the next 24h

greenmanalishi commented on 2014-01-14 18:28

And lua51 is a mandatory dependency

greenmanalishi commented on 2014-01-14 17:22

I believe packages mxml picomodel gtksourceview2 gtkglext gtk2 are optdepends if you want to compile the map editor. Also package cunit for tests.

rewritten PKGBUILD with up-to-date git VCS packaging conventions.
- added map-sync target to fetch ufo maps instead of building them
- switched to new version schema
- switched to official github mirror for faster pull

anthraxx commented on 2013-09-09 11:21

Sure, i've already started reworking and cleaning major parts of the PKGBUILD (of cause using maps-sync etc).
Btw this is really only a bleeding-edge dev version package of ufoai, there is a stable release in community :)

Can you explain what you mean by "driver issues" as why you disowned the package?
This is really a great linux game and I'm hoping that the new maintainer (anthraxx) will continue to keep this package up to date.

Also, the maps do take forever to build, even on fast machines, so I recommend we implement hollunder's suggestions ('make maps-sync' instead of 'make maps')

Also I think line 39: 'cd $_gitname' should be removed, as we are already in that diretory and build fails.

Will disown packege, because of driver-issues. feel free to adopt

hollunder commented on 2013-07-25 22:55

Two suggestions:
1) Add --disable-uforadiant to the configure line to disable the map editor.
2) Use make 'maps-sync' instead of 'make maps' to have it download the maps instead of building them and drastically speed up the build process.
