@Chais: I was just being retarded, I didn't realize I had to do `sudo -u` to the tshock shell file to get into the console. Thanks for having patience with me.

Regarding the out-of-date flag I don't intend to update to prereleases, as they tend to have inconsistent naming schemes and are even more unstable than the releases.

@Madotsuki: If I am to help you I need more info. Currently this message is normal (a result of checking whether that server instance is already running. I'll remove it with the next update) So if the server is actually running after that message everything should be in order. If not it helps to do the launch step by step. `sudo -u tshock /srv/tshock/tshock.sh start default` or if that fails too `sudo -u tshock tmux new-session -d -s default -d "cd /srv/tshock/; mono --server --gc=sgen -O=all TerrariaServer.exe -port 7777 -worldpath My\ Games/Terraria/Worlds -world My\ Games/Terraria/Worlds/World1.wld -autocreate 2"` One of those should get you a more precise output.

Getting a "connection refused" error from the service, probably coming from tmux.

@mtorromeo You removed the possibility to easily run multiple instances. I'll copy the mono options though. Right now I can't see which problems your version fixes, so could you please elaborate?

mtorromeo commented on 2015-07-21 10:33

There are many problems with this package IMHO and I prepared my own version [1]
If you don't mind I would gladly maintain this.

Took over the package until Centzilius migrates to aur4. Introduced major architectural changes. Please let me know if everything works, since Centzilius has trouble getting it to run.

I whipped up http://pastebin.com/hN3kizuF out of convenince, uses argopts to pass in world name, tmux_console, and port since 'tshock start' seems to force port 7777 and world1 Otherwise it's mostly the same thing. Thought you could make use of it.

Chais commented on 2015-01-05 20:04

I can't start the server with /srv/tshock/tshock.sh start or via systemctl. systemctl logs 'Connection refused', which is probably coming from tmux.
But when I run the command directly it works fine.

hmm... That's strange... the newest tag is breaking the version... I'll have a look at it tomorrow (when it is not 9:44 pm)
