Can't update at the moment -- anyone want to co-maintain it?

You are great man :).

I released a package with a temporary fix (patch) for this issue.

thiagowfx commented on 2015-05-05 00:32

True. This seems to have been reported upstream already, though: https://github.com/soimort/translate-shell/issues/55

I guess we just have to wait for the next release.

Since the latest gawk update translation-shell seems to be broken:
core/gawk 4.1.1-1 -> 4.1.2-1

(tested on 2 arch desktops and 1 arch laptop, so it seems to be reproduceable)

it throws many unexept lineend errors.
---translations----- (german)
Kommandozeile = commandline
Unerwarteter Zeilenumbruch oder Ende der Zeichenkette = unexpected lineend or end of line
---------------THE ERROR (cuttet off)--------------------

17:58 [blubb@blubb ~] ✓$ translate-shell {=de} -b "how are you"

@Shibumi

It is working okay for me, I just tested it. How are you running it?

My test is:

thiago@archpad ~ % translate-shell
olá, mundo!
hello world!

Translations of olá, mundo!
(Português ➔ English)
olá , mundo !(hello world!)

Hello,
since the last update, trans is just making nothing.. when I try to translate something I get only an empty line... Any idea how to fix this?

thiagowfx commented on 2015-04-08 20:18

Ops...done. Thanks, @TrialInError.

One note about the PKGBuild.
The provides and conflicts entry should be removed. Those make sense in a git PKGBuild and likes where pkgname differs, or program x can replace y.
But this constellation means translate-shell conflicts translate-shell, because it provides translate-shell...

Hi, I just discovered the problem with zsh. Only users using grml-zsh-config were affected, since it defines a "trans" function.

I provided an extra translate-shell executable (as a symlink) to solve this problem. An alternative is to run /usr/bin/trans directly. No more need to use TARGET=zsh.
