@jakebailey: Yes you’re right, I faced this too while building using extra-x86_64-build after those changes (I almost always do) and had fixed this locally by moving this line before the cd ${_pkgname}-${pkgver}, but apparently forgot to commit it. Then I discarded my AUR local repo to restart it anew, and did not build latest version since the same cosmetic change in https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/commit/?h=mpv-light&id=92f1a4cc0972c27c8d744563d8eaad02fbfe8354 worked fine… thus didn’t catch my mistake.

Anyway, thanks for catching it and I’ll fix it your way, I cosmetically don’t like to have things before `make install`. ;)

One of your cosmetic changes prevents the package from building. This line:

install -Dm644 modules-load-thermald.conf "${pkgdir}"/usr/lib/modules-load.d/thermald.conf

Should be changed to this:

install -Dm644 "${srcdir}"/modules-load-thermald.conf "${pkgdir}"/usr/lib/modules-load.d/thermald.conf

Otherwise install won't find the conf file.

@TrialnError: Yes indeed, they’ve been here since the beginning and I’ve never cared of them… Fixed.

TrialnError commented on 2016-12-02 22:12

The conflicts and provides line should be removed from the PKGBUILD, as it is totally unnecessary.

ector commented on 2016-11-03 13:36

yes, I have installed previous versions of thermald without problems, this is only updates aur

ArchangeGabriel commented on 2016-11-03 13:18

@ector: I’m not sure what could be the cause of this. Do you have base-devel packages installed? That logs says you C compiler doesn’t work, which is quite worrisome.
