Bug is upstream based on Ubuntu users experiencing the same thing. However, as the PKGBUILD does still work here, did you install the optional gstreamer plugins?

I also have pulseaudio installed. If you find that any of these packages are required let me know and I will change them from optional.

Edit: Also take note that older versions of gstreamer experienced a segfault (https://sourceforge.net/p/spectrum3d/discussion/general/thread/2705796d/), make sure that system is fully up-to-date.
