I see the conflict with mutt is noted. Would it be an idea to rename the pgpring file provided with this package into "pgpring-debian" or something? or should i make a new package with the pgpring excluded?

Please update to 2.2.
2.1 does not exist.

darnir: the cause of conflict is both packages providing the executable /usr/bin/pgpring
On a debian system, that's not a problem, because that executable is installed as /usr/lib/mutt/pgpring. However, the mutt package for Arch Linux does not do that.

Why does this packages conflict with mutt?
