This package simply reproduces the dependencies specified by upstream[1] and I am very hesitant to change that. An imaginable reason for the explicit dependency could be that upstream uses features that are not included in the version of minitest shipped with ruby-2.2.
If you want to change that, I'd prefer you to talk to upstream

The dependency on ruby-minitest is unnecessary now as it is included in main ruby package. Can you please fix that.

voyd commented on 2016-08-27 22:11

Looks like I forgot to update the dependencies...

This should work when ruby-tzinfo has fixed it's dependencies

ChaosKid42 commented on 2016-08-27 21:00

Would you remove the dependency on 'ruby-json'? Accordng to the upstream URL ( it is no longer necessary. The dependency causes a poblem as there does not seem to be a corresponding AUR-package any more.

I was pretty busy lately and just returned from a trip. I'm looking into the topic right now.

dear maintainer,
as ewtoombs pointed out, ruby-minitest needs to be removed from the depends array, as it is now part of the main ruby package.
please act upon this as soon as possible!
thank you

ewtoombs commented on 2016-03-05 08:56

ruby-minitest is provided in the ruby package now by default. In fact, this is causing a file collision. The dependency must be removed.

I'm happy to do it, having had only a passing interest in RoR ;) Here, disowned!

Here is recommended package content

anatolik commented on 2013-12-13 16:12

Could you please also transfer the package to me? I own all the other rails packages (except this one).
