nat1192, can you update the package to 4.0? The asio bug has been fixed in 1.10.7 and the package in [extra] has been updated. restbed 4.0 compiles fine here.

I have uploaded a package `asio-patched` with the patch, because nothing seems to happen in https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/48620

Using this new package, restbed compiles fine (both 3.5 and 4.0).

By the way, it seems that only a static library (.a) is built, do you think there is a way to build a dynamic .so library?

@Tyrant You're the hero! Thank you.
@nat1192 Would you change the version for 4.0? I built it with the patch. It works great.

I've opened an issue for this problem and provided an updated PKGBUILD containing a patch used by Debian: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/48620#comment145230

That failure is indeed caused by asio. The asio PKGBUILD in 'extra' is also failing to build.

A recent update of OpenSSL (to version 1.0.2.g-3) breaks the build of this package:

% make

/usr/include/asio/ssl/impl/context.ipp:95:29: error: ‘::SSLv3_client_method’ has not been declared
handle_ = ::SSL_CTX_new(::SSLv3_client_method());
/usr/include/asio/ssl/impl/context.ipp:98:29: error: ‘::SSLv3_server_method’ has not been declared
handle_ = ::SSL_CTX_new(::SSLv3_server_method());

I'm not sure if this is caused by asio or restbed, just giving you a heads up.
