First of, weird that I did not receive an e-mail notification that you posted this.
I am experiencing this as well, and their will be a new release as soon as I have figured it out.

I am experiencing this as well, and their will be a new release as soon as I have figured it out. Temporary workaround compile by hand without using makepkg, that works for me, so I think its the flags makepkg.conf makes makepkg pass to the compiler.

I'm not sure if this is happening, because I'm on [testing] repo, but anyway I wanted to give you a heads up about it:
