I'm sorry, I'm no longer using this package, I'm disowning it so that someone else can take care of it.

Please update PKGBUILD source URL to https://github.com/stefanistrate/pidgin-embeddedvideo/blob/master/downloads and MD5sum.

I currently get the following error when I try to install this package:
==> ERROR: Missing package() function in /tmp/pacaurtmp-cast/pidgin-embeddedvideo/PKGBUILD

Am I the only one whose pidgin crashes when using this plugin?

I confirm this behaviour. Indeed is very strange.

it does not depends on --prefix option...

something strange happens: try to download the archive of this pkgbuild. do a makepkg and it will fails; but if you do another makepkg there is no problem at all.

how can this happens?

Compile fails if --prefix=/usr is passed on to the configure script. Please review the need for it. Compiled and tested with namcap using your PKGBUILD without that option.
