@psyriccio, does the below link not work for you?

If not, please tell me the problem you are having or the error you are getting.

Here ya go @Fincer:

If you don't have an IPv6 connection, simply install and run miredo.

All the best

What a huge disappointment this great program is not available for the public just because a stupid domain issue.

Can someone who has the source package "pacmanxg.tar.bz2" on his/her computer, please re-upload the package to somewhere? The only domain pacmanxg was ever available at is down right now. Personally, I don't care if it's dropbox or some other random site.

I'm pretty sure *someone* here has the package stored locally. It can't be very troublesome task to upload pacmanxg.tar.bz2 for someone who already has the source on a hand. Just do the task, please! Don't be too lazy this time.

@psyriccio, hi,

Alexandre does not seem to be a rich person by any means (still can only compile 32bit), and his domain expired once before, years ago, and once he found the money (I assume) to re-register, it was back up. He might could use a little encouragement and help in this area. Maybe someone has an older 64bit laptop, just sitting in a closet, they could send him.

He is a very nice Russian person, and can (could) be reached at:
He only speaks Russian, so uses Google-translate as needed. Any communication needs to be fairly simple in language so that Google-translate can give him the right translation.

He also has a forum page here (not recently updated):
and has given some information on compiling PacmanXG on Pg5.

I believe he deserves encouragement from each of us that uses PacmanXG, especially those like me that uses PacmanXG multiple times a day, even though I can use the CLI fluently, well sorta.

In my opinion, PacmanXG is great software, and is truly the best front-end to Pacman that has been, and is available, and yes, I've tried them all.

Over the years, I have seen (many?, can't remember, but hundreds) hundreds of votes for PacmanXG on the AUR, and I saw at least 2 times the votes got knocked down to just a few votes, my guess by some ignorant moderator that either didn't like Alexandre, just hates PacmanXG specificily, or Pacman front-ends in general. After the last time, Alexandre seemed to get discouraged, and slowly gave up.

I, I'm guessing many, would hate to see this incredible software lost forever because of someone in our (ever rapidly growing, which now seems to be a lot of desktop users that want the now easy-to-install ( https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_based_distributions ) and stability and power of Arch Linux.) Arch Linux community.

Sorry for the long note, just felt some things needed to be said, and maybe some long overdue action taken for the good of all of us, and even for Alexandre.

All the best

Unfortunately pacmanxg sources are no longer available. Domain Registration Expired in the repository. Communication with developers just not available. If the situation in the near future will not change - we can assume that pacmanxg no longer exists.

Oh, thnx for report! In the near future I will try to deal with this problem.

Something's wrong with this package. You say you don't support 32-bit systems anymore, but apparently that also counts for 64-bit systems :(
