If you have segfaults or weird bugs, first of all rebuild all perl package dependencies and uuid:

'gconf-perl' 'glade-perl' 'perl-crypt-blowfish' 'perl-gnome2-vte' 'perl-expect' 'perl-crypt-rijndael' 'perl-gtk2-ex-simple-list' 'perl-io-stty' 'perl-io-tty' 'perl-net-arp' 'perl-yaml' 'perl-crypt-cbc' 'perl-gtk2-unique' 'perl-socket6' 'uuid'

Then comment, maybe someone could help.

@figue Yes, segfault on quit:

PAC finishing (pac) with pid 32073
[1] 32073 segmentation fault (core dumped) LANG=C pac

Thanks for workaround!

One of you guys have a segmentation fault when you quit from pac?

[5.3.1]figue@pluto:~> LANG=C pac
PAC started (pac) with PID 1705
INFO: Used config file '/home/figue/.config/pac/pac.nfreeze'
INFO: Using 'standard Gnome2' tray icon
PAC finishing (pac) with pid 1705
[1] 1705 segmentation fault (core dumped) LANG=C pac

In journal/dmesg I see this:
ene 20 00:11:08 pluto kernel: pac[1705]: segfault at 80000000c ip 00007fccf29e8678 sp 00007ffef01f9b60 error 4 in libgobject-2.0.so.0.5000.2[7fccf29c7000+51000]

If I hit control+C in terminal, pac doesn't segfault, so it seems something related to _quitProgram function... But I can't find what exactly.

@roepi @redbaron Same happens to me. As a workaround, try to enable/disable background color in "Use this personal options":

-> PAC Preferences -> Local Shell Options -> Look and feel -> "Use this personal options" -> Uncheck "Use this Tab background color"

Hi, same problem with no 'graphical console' (Ncurses) for example with mc (Midnight Commander) or Htop. Thanks

roepi commented on 2017-01-18 23:02

Hi. Embed xfreerdp tabs work fine now. However no 'graphical console' (Ncurses) for example with mc (Midnight Commander) or dpkg-reconfigure tzdata, only black screen. It works within a normal console (Plasma Konsole), and I already rebuild perl-gnome2-vte. Thanks.

New release. Upstream git has a bad merge in /opt/pac/lib/pac_conn which makes embed xfreerdp tabs doesn't work. It's fixed by me at this moment.

Also, notice that package will not compile perl-gnome2-vte anymore, instead, I make a symlink to /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/auto/Gnome2/Vte/Vte.so

You maybe need to rebuild perl-gnome2-vte package from AUR.

Let me know how it works now.

@beliy can I know why you request to orphan this package? This is a -git package, which pulls the code directly of the upstream project. If something it's broken with it, please, comment it here or in project's github.

I'm actively using this software to do my job daily and I care about it, so I don't see any reason to disown it.

Embed in tab while using xfreerdp seems broken with the latest release. I'm looking into it...

figue commented on 2017-01-17 20:07

@maclinuxfree build fixed.
Upstream (at the end) merge new freerdp interface as well as some other pull requests.
