Regarding to your issue on Github, it's because you've enabled non-standard makeflags for Pacman's makepkg ("-fstack-check-lto") instead of using default makepkg.conf
I've rebuilt latest git master fine on systemd-nspawn chroot with default makepkg.conf

Here is a better PKGBUILD and included install file (I'd rather the package didn't ship downstream configuration files as I would like to maintain my own.)
