Yes, there is a thing on line 393.

There is a typo on line 393 of the PKGBUILD. nvidia-libgl-full-betaf-all -> nvidia-libgl-full-beta-all

Just in case anyone cares, NVIDIA updates the libglvnd bundled in there driver to the most recent git commit at the time of the driver release. For example, 375.20 notes a change about adding EGL support to libglvnd. At the time of the driver release, which was 11-18, there were git commits on libglvnd on 11-9 about EGL, suggesting that the libglvnd bundled in the 375.20 driver was from the 11-9 commit.

Should be same or newer.

The vulkan-driver was that thing that is responsible. I noticed that the libglvnd package from the official repository is labeled 10-28. Is the libglvnd package bundled in this package as up to date as that one?

I'll try installing again after work, thank you sir.

I'm thinking since [nvidia] depends on it, then it's not bumped frequently enough for this thing, which provides said libs anyway.

OK, so an -Syu update today is forcing libglvnd. All your packages seem to conflict with libglvnd. What the dilly yo?

shoober420 commented on 2016-11-30 22:30

Wow, libglvnd is a thing.

It's not really the beta branch, it's -dev.

To me it's always been nonsensical to distribute an older, buggy version of bleeding edge software when a newer one with upstream patches is also available.

I don't think it's the "beta" people are insisting, but the "latest one".
