@notizblock: ok, thanks the tip.

@bebR I previously used java-runtime as dependency which allows you to pick from the various JRE/JDK implementations. @gangelop complained that Java 8 is needed, so I used jre8-openjdk.

So, to answer your question: use java-runtime as dependency.

Ok, forget the md5 issue, I can't reproduce this at home. I was testing at work, behind a proxy.

About the Java provider, is there a way to give the choice to the user, by proposing several providers?

I just manually downloaded mytourbook-16.8.0-linux-64.zip from sourceforge (via netcologne) and the md5sum matches the one in the package: 910d0c87ed2594bd37a6e1f495615070

bebR commented on 2016-09-30 07:42

Still failing, running md5sum gives:
bebr  ~  aur_builds  mytourbook_bin  md5sum mytourbook-16.8.0-linux-64.zip
6cef19509d3eace6384da7fca9272ffb mytourbook-16.8.0-linux-64.zip

This hash doesn't correspond to the one in the PKGBUILD.

Mytourbook runs nicely with OracleJDK. It is officially supported (info from the Mytourbook website ;)

I don't know if there is a way to put only java as dependency and not a specific package.

@bebR I just tried a clean build and it works as expected.

Have you tried to run it with Oracle JDK?

bebR commented on 2016-09-28 12:06

The md5sum check currently fails for the file mytourbook-16.8.0-linux-64.zip.
Could you please update it?

Plus, I wonder if it's a good practice to set jre8-openjdk as a dependency. In my case, I use the Oracle JDK. So installing this package makes me install 2 different JREs.

Fixed, thx.

Please specify in the dependencies that jdk8 is needed. MyTourBook won't work with jdk7.

@notizblock: thank YOU ;-)
