CI and SI support in testing: https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/commit/trunk?h=packages/linux&id=992ffce2aa59f0102f795c92b1e9e525e777164f

The Arch Linux linux package (from version 4.9, currently in [testing]), is compiled with Southern Islands support enabled by default. Blacklisting radeon module, is enough to use amdgpu driver.

wow this kernel is legit!!! i have amdgpu+vulkan(mesa versions) support with r7240 and the mouse cursor is visible!!!,this may be due to the fact that i compiled a kernel from the 4.9-git repo in my previous efforts and it possibly had bug that made my mouse cursor invisible, nice work i ll vote!!!

Notes to boot this with amdgpu you have to install xf86 amdgpu driver and load the module "amdgpu" in mkinitcpio refresh it with mkinitcpio -p kernel_name and reboot into it.

awesome will test it!!!also it would be nice if you could change the name in package details, so that people know its includes also -si support.

fixed validation check, added SI support

siyia commented on 2016-12-19 19:07

never mind i compiled my own 4.9 kernel with -si support and it works, but the mouse cursor is invisible lol,i guess that's a bug considering the driver is experimental.

config.x86_64 is failing the validation check

siyia commented on 2016-12-18 16:28

what about si support for kernel 4.9?

Last release from me. I can't keep up with the updates and I hope someone comes along and takes over for me. Fun ride, fun experience, but I just don't update my system enough in Linux to actually keep this up to date. I'm sorry everyone.
