Please add, "libvpx.so=$sversion", to the provides. As it is requested by some packages.

Does NOT provide VP10. Please,
* remove "--enable-vp10" from the PKGBUILD (it wil fail the ./configure-script),
* remove it from the package's description.

Shouldn't this package also provide libvpx.so if using shared libraries?

please use the new source: https://chromium.googlesource.com/webm/libvpx or https://github.com/webmproject/libvpx.git

Deprecated, but still working. There is no reason to mark package out of date.

Libvpx git repository is deprecated:

Hi; I'm not fully clued-in on how PKGBUILDs actually download from git repositories (there isn't an explicit command, after all), but for this repo at least there's an interesting problem that happens.

If I just "git clone" the libvpx repo it downloads maybe 20MB or so worth of data, which unpacks to about 40MB. However, when makepkg/yaourt does it while installing this package it downloads over 130MB of data (unpacking to much more). The problem lies in the fact that an additional folder ".git" is being downloaded, which contains their entire git history (which of course is huge).

Not sure if this is something that can be worked around by the package maintainer, but if there is a way to not have to wastefully (and time-consumingly) download the un-needed data from a git repo via a PKGBUILD that would be a fantastic addition/modification to this AUR entry.

Best regards ~

--enable-psnr is no longer an option to configure.

Very good package.

Here are namcap warnings:

libvpx-git E: Dependency detected and not included (glibc) from files ['usr/bin/vpxenc', 'usr/lib/libvpx.so', 'usr/lib/libvpx.so.0.9', 'usr/lib/libvpx.so.0.9.5', 'usr/lib/libvpx.so.0', 'usr/bin/vpxdec']
libvpx-git E: Missing custom license directory (usr/share/licenses/libvpx-git)

so glibc is to be added in the dependencies list, etc.

Again, Thank you
