I've been getting these messages to stderr lately when running ledger. Is this a boost or a ledger problem? This seems to break my emacs integration

sys:1: RuntimeWarning: to-Python converter for boost::shared_ptr<ledger::commodity_pool_t> already registered; second conversion method ignored.
sys:1: RuntimeWarning: to-Python converter for boost::shared_ptr<ledger::(anonymous namespace)::collector_wrapper> already registered; second conversion method ignored.

Release numbers shouldn't be bumped just for rebuilds, as nothing has changed with the PKGBUILD. Arch users should be able to figure out that a rebuild is needed, and delayed mirror propagation makes it possible any maintainer bump is too late/too early anyway.

loonies commented on 2016-12-31 09:26

@e.sovetkin That's true, but package maintainer also needs to bump the
package release number so that the package is rebuilt automatically for
people using AUR installers.

e.sovetkin commented on 2016-12-07 08:40

@platschi, you just need to rebuild the package

seems not to work anymore since some recent updates: ledger: error while loading shared libraries: libicuuc.so.57: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Currently ledger does not build due to cmake 3.6 not handling boost 1.62. Here is the bug report https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/51597. As a temporary workaround you can copy FindBoost.cmake from cmake's source tree into ledger/cmake.

@korijjj thanks for the 1.61 patch. :)

trickyelf commented on 2016-09-20 22:57

Can we get that patch applied to this pkgbuild until the problem is fixed upstream?

pgi commented on 2016-09-18 13:12

@ball, @FlorianJacob,

Thanks, it works for me

ball commented on 2016-09-16 08:22

The Pull Request referenced by FlorianJacob fixes the issue for me.

Place this simple patch into the same directory as the PKGBUILD:

Then add the patch to the PKGBUILD, like in this one:

Maybe the maintainer of ledger in the AUR can add the patch for the time being...
