I'd use EVEMon if I could just get it to run, but no luck there.

mkaito commented on 2016-07-25 15:28

Same for me. Upstream is largely unmaintained as the author has no time to commit to the project. Doesn't look like anyone is willing and/or able to pick it up. If only it wasn't C++ :P

I'm not sure I dig the changes GTK3 brought to the interface either way. I'm starting to be inclined to run good old evemon in wine instead.

Crashlog commented on 2016-07-25 14:47

When I try to configure the columns in the skill planner, the program crashes with this output:

(gtkevemon:16236): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_bin_get_child: assertion 'GTK_IS_BIN (bin)' failed

(gtkevemon:16236): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_box_reorder_child: assertion 'GTK_IS_BOX (box)' failed

(gtkevemon:16236): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_set_can_focus: assertion 'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed

(gtkevemon:16236): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_set_parent_window: assertion 'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed

(gtkevemon:16236): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_set_parent: assertion 'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
zsh: segmentation fault (core dumped) gtkevemon

Any idea if this an upstream problem, or if it's something on my end?

mkaito commented on 2016-04-10 20:58

Segfaults when clicking "Add Character". I can provide a coredump, but I'm not sure where to upload it for sharing.

EDIT: Fixed it. It seems like GTK3 doesn't like XIM.

Eriner commented on 2015-12-01 03:53

I have updated the package with the C++11 revision, as well as the fix for the required gtkmm version (gtkmm3).

If anyone has any issue building this package, please leave a comment to let me know. Fly safe! o/

h0rizon commented on 2015-10-27 18:12

This is broken upstream. The upstream source still uses c++11 standards and therefore needs to be patched to work with the current arch compiler.

To fix simply create a patch to change the Makefile adding the flag:

nogz commented on 2015-10-20 02:47

I'm receiving the same errors as hobarrera. Unable to build.

hobarrera commented on 2015-10-12 04:01

Full build log:

Builded package few secs ago successfully.
Can you post error logs?

hobarrera commented on 2015-10-11 06:18

Latest is not building. Is this a packaging issue, or upstream?

hobarrera commented on 2015-08-16 22:59

Looks like this now depends on gtkmm3. Also, there's no need to list runtime dependencies as makedepends too, it's assumed they're needed for building.

ecraven commented on 2015-05-30 11:35

thank you, we are working on this SSL error upstream, we might resolve it beginning of next week. I'll look into the 301, however I guess this is just because the http url redirects to https (which doesn't work due to SSL).

I'll post here when things should work again.

xorxcel commented on 2015-05-29 18:03

Please try to disable the "Use SSL for API calls" option in the Network preferences for testing. My guess is you will see this "moved permanently" error then, as well.
This is in fact what I did when I also had an SSL error first.

I just installed gtkevemon-git for the first time, so I think I should have the latest version.

hobarrera commented on 2015-05-29 15:17

This package builds the latest from HEAD, so it needs no updating. Have you rebuilt it recently to make sure you have the latest version? If so, it might be an upstream issue.

I can't repro your issue, because I'm getting an SSL error for those files, so I can't really help much.

xorxcel commented on 2015-05-29 08:42

I just installed gtkevemon-git for the first time.
It starts as expected, but when trying to download the datafiles, I get the following errors:

Error: The download for SkillTree.xml failed: Received HTTP code 301: Moved Permanently
Error: The download for CertificateTree.xml failed: Received HTTP code 301: Moved Permanently

A quick google search suggests, that this is an error that was fixed a view months ago, maybe this package has to be updated?

hobarrera commented on 2014-11-06 13:19

That was quick, thanks!

ecraven commented on 2014-11-06 13:09

thanks, uploaded yours instead of mine :)

hobarrera commented on 2014-11-06 12:53

pkgver function is wrong, and does not update when rebuilding (resulting in newer builds recognized as the same, and in AUR helpers in failing to detect the newer version).

Here's a fixed PKGBUILD:

I also added replaces=('gtkevemon-hg'), which applies in this case.

ecraven commented on 2014-10-20 19:09

done, sorry for the delay

l0ser140 commented on 2014-10-16 14:17

Please change repo to official gtkevemon rep.

hobarrera commented on 2014-10-14 19:58

Also (and sorry for the noise), the offical git repo is now:

hobarrera commented on 2014-10-14 19:57

URL no longer exists, but all development has now moved to github (so github's URL would be fine).

hobarrera commented on 2014-09-18 14:37

URL no longer exists. Can you update this to ?

hobarrera commented on 2014-07-27 07:32

Can you plase reupload using mkaurball -f. As-is, the package lacks some AUR metadata used by the new AUR and AUR helpers.

hobarrera commented on 2014-07-27 07:32

This is *not* the official repo. Please clarify this in the pkgdesc.

vorot93 commented on 2014-04-27 21:08

BattleClinic HG is the upstream.

ecraven's git is his personal playground for pushing PR to gtkevemon project repo.

gtkevemon GH is mine mirror/fork/playground repo, I currently accept all kinds of contributions there for subsequent inclusion in upstream.

It is currently messed up but future move of upstream to GH should hopefully clear the air a bit.

kstripp commented on 2014-04-13 08:42

Actually it looks like that repository is active, but I don't know if it is the official one.

That repository looks pretty similar to ecraven's repository, and both appear to be relatively active.

l0ser140 commented on 2014-02-05 00:59

You forked abandoned repository on github. Contributors push their last updates to bitbucket.

l0ser140 commented on 2013-05-01 14:26

I rewrote the PKGBUILD in accordance with the pacman4 standards.
Now all should work fine again.

The hg clone command is failing. One should replace:
hg clone "$_hgroot" "$_hgrepo"

hg clone "$_hgroot"/"$_hgrepo"

l0ser140 commented on 2012-05-08 13:31

Gtkevemon migrate from svn to mercurial

Anonymous comment on 2012-05-06 01:44

well... theyve apparently moved to bitbucket/hg. i tried making a mercurial pkg, but i cant get it to compile anymore...

Anonymous comment on 2012-04-29 10:14

The repo is not available any-more. I wrote a mail to the developers a few days ago, but nobody answered yet.

Anonymous comment on 2010-10-25 03:48

Done. Thank you.

Anonymous comment on 2010-10-23 22:03

Svn address was changed to "svn://".
Update your PKGBUILD please.
