just edit:

pkgver=3.0.3
to
pkgver=3.0.4

and

sha256sums=('8a4f067fd1f011353cdd68ff9933fac2a6bb232a2aec80552c3ecc2ffab25bf9'
to
sha256sums=('2500594408350f3d2320386b4baab90f6c8fb899f5c4baf8d3623d06595d3ef8'

after that installing was no problem.

But the icon is still missing.

Hi, by changing the package version and md256sum[1] to the correct hash for 304.jar in the pckgbuild I was able to install this through pacman(aur). Could you update the official package so it is no longer out of date?

Greetings,
Nathan

Thanks!

Could you please look into the problem that the greenfoot icon path is wrong.
/usr/share/applications/greenfoot.desktop shows Icon=/usr/share/java/greenfoot/images/greenfoot-icon-48.png
but the directory only goes as far as /usr/share/java and the only file to reside in that directory is libbluray-j2se-0.9.2.jar.

The deb-package copies files to /usr/share/icons ; /usr/share/pixmaps and consequently the /usr/share/applications/greenfoot.desktop file reads Icon=greenfoot because /usr/share/pixmaps has a file named greenfoot.xpm (which is used as icon).

Cheers,
Michael

Hi fheday,

I'm so glad you volunteered to maintain the package!!

I use Greenfoot a lot in my lessons and I've even been able to convince some pupils to use ArchLinux. I've created a bootable USB thumb drive with ArchLinux and all the necessary free software we use in our lessons on it, and Greenfoot is one of these packages.

Cheers.
Michael

Hi teacher4711,

I will adopt the package and try to solve the problem.

I am also part of the team who develops Greenfoot and Bluej.

I'd very much like to but I've never maintained a package and I doubt that I would have been able to solve the problems that have already occurred and are there at the moment.

Is there anyone else who volunteers?

Michael
