As far as I can tell, python2-distribute is not needed at all.

The arch array on this should also be 'any'.

thank you, now fixed :)
and seems pkgbuilds of many package i maintain should be changed, hmm

We were just basing that on how it was setup before. Trying it myself, you don't need the --prefix at all.

python2 setup.py build
python2 setup.py install --root="$pkgdir"

Cravix commented on 2013-03-17 11:32

sorry, but you see, "python2 setup.py build --prefix=/usr" doesn't work= =

gtmanfred commented on 2013-03-17 07:17

that isn't even close to what i said...

use just python2 setup.py build --prefix=/usr in build() ...
andin package()
have python2 setup.py install --root="$pkgdir"

i think i get your meaning this time (to make makepkg -R work),
so please check my pkgbuild now :)
(but still, i didn't replace "cp -r" with "git clone", 'cause i think it doesn't matter :P

eh, sorry, i don't really get it,

do you mean use python2 setup.py build --prefix=/usr ,
then move the output file to $pkgdir in package()?

and i don't know what's the difference between use git clone and cp -r = =
i think cp -r is better since it has no output.

anyway i change "rm -r" to "rm -rf" to make this pkgbuild works again, hmm.
