@ChokesMcGee It redirects correctly for me and therefore installs work just fine, but I have changed the URL to be HTTPS to remove the redirect.

ChokesMcGee commented on 2016-12-09 17:36

Looks like the source URL needs to be updated. Gottcode.org cuts off plain http downloads, so installs are coming back with a 403. Changing it to https makes everything work fine.

Since new hunspell in extra (1.5.4), focuswriter had to be rebuild.

@gottcode Sorry about bothering you with that error. I realized I had not installed the base-devel packages and that's why the program would not compile. After the installation of devel packages, everything went smoothly and it built correctly. Thanks for focuswriter, I love it.

@Sodalite Hunspell is in the official repos of Arch Linux, and required by quite a few packages (even Firefox!). I'm at a loss as to how you can't find it, or not have it on your system already...

@gottcode The PKGBUILD includes an install file that is not provided with the sources. Hence attempting to build this package is returning the error:

==> focuswriter dependencies:
- qt5-base (already installed)
- qt5-multimedia (already installed)
- hunspell (already installed)

==> Continue building focuswriter ? [Y/n]
==> -------------------------------------
==> Building and installing package
==> ERROR: install file (focuswriter.install) does not exist or is not a regular file.
==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build focuswriter.
==> Restart building focuswriter ? [y/N]
==> ------------------------------------
==> ERROR: unable to update

Had to reinstall focuswriter to get it to start after the update of hunspell from 1.3.4 to 1.4.1. Just a heads up!

@petres I have fixed the missing header include in release; it builds correctly for me with Qt 5.5 now.

Not working, building failed:

@orschiro You're weclome!

It should be using its icon for the window switcher; it does in KDE and Xfce. I don't use Openbox so I have never tested that before; I will look into it.
