I just quickly forked and added the conflicts and provides lines (along with a pkgver() version bump) here:

Can we add the lines: conflicts=("envytools") and provides=("envytools=$pkgver")?

In the VCS package guidelines, it uses these lines so that VCS packages can stand in for their non-VCS equivalents and the fact that the package is built for a VCS source should remain transparent to dependency resolution.

blackout24: Thanks, I fixed the bug upstream: https://github.com/envytools/envytools/commit/46a7e4d20925955efaf7d0ab9aa6123b49b62b8e

make DESTDIR="$pkgdir" in package() is looking for src/README to install, but fails since there is only a README.rst in the source directory. Renaming it or just creating a dummy file allows to build this package successfully.

@mxr: Could you please update the repo address? If you don't want to care about it anymore, please orphan it. As a dev of envytools, I would gladly take care of it.

The canonical repo is now located at https://github.com/envytools/envytools

Please update the PKGBUILD.

Fixed the install issue. I added missing dependencies too.

Package installs in /usr/local. It would be better if it was /usr.
