kerbingamer376: I assume you installed this package and read the instructions that popped up afterwards? $DEVKITARM should be automatically set as shell variable.

When I try to build any of the nds examples, it tells me:

Makefile:6: *** "Please set DEVKITARM in your environment. export DEVKITARM=<path to>devkitARM". Stop.

I know how to add it to my environment, but where is devkitarm?

Sorry for being a noob

Hi, the arm-none-eabi-gdb binary is linked against the old libncurses ABI, making it impossible to run on an up to date ArchLinux.

OK, the fact that it worked for you and checking curl -v helped me see the problem. I use privoxy and this was messing up the redirect. It never used to, must be something new on the site. Silly of me not to think of it sooner. Anyway, disabling that (unset http_proxy) fixed the issue. Thanks, and sorry for the noise.

It works for me. Normally, the download URLs from sourceforge have the mirror selection and meta/js stuff. The URLs used here (and for a bunch of other packages) are the "legacy" short ones, that should automatically use the first available/best mirror and just redirect to the file, has provided them for ages.
It might be a temporary problem. Can you please run curl in verbose mode and upload the output to a pastebin (e.g. Thanks!

$ curl -v -L -O

This might be a temporary problem but for some time now (several weeks) it seems like sourceforge doesn't allow non-cookied/non-browser downloads with curl or wget. The file contents is not the tar you asked for, instead it is an HTML page pointing to the tar file in a meta http-equiv=refresh, with some extra arguments added to the URL (r, ts, use_mirror). Is it just me, or is anyone else seeing the same thing?

This package was formerly known as devkitarm[1] and provides the precompiled toolchain.
