My own website, and no, you shouldn't trust it :) That's why I mentioned that the MD5 checksum is unchanged.

I don't suggest changing the source in the PKGBUILD, I only put the tarball here for convenience while upstream fixes its website. The tarball is findable elsewhere on the Internet.

What kind of website is that? Can we trust it?

zorun commented on 2016-01-03 16:06

The official website does not work (broken DNS), so downloading the game fails. I've put a tarball here (same MD5): http://pub.polyno.me/arch/deadcyborg-episode1-linux_v002.tar.bz2

Chris_tian thank you for this idea. Package updated.

I got the same error. To fix it, you can use alsa-oss to run it with alsa. To do that, you simply have to add another script like the start-game_pulseaudio.sh but with all "padsp" replaced by "aoss".

I get the same on 64 bit. Would you report this upstream please? The program must be recompiled I think.

I'm getting this error:
open /dev/[sound/]dsp: No such file or directory
WARNING: Sound actuator "act1" from object "Plane.053" failed to load sample.

32-bit system, using Alsa. (launching with start_game.sh)
