Needs a patch due to changes in GHC (System.Exit.die and Distribution.Simple.Utils.findPackageDesc). Died upstream but might still be useful.

the dependencies cmdargs and mtl are in the package. sounds like your cabal cache got corrupt somehow. try to refresh it or maybe remove ghc and reinstall it.

building fails for me, I get http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=0ddBpmMb

Does not build here. Related to cmdargs.

drevilt commented on 2013-11-23 15:46

that is because the package haskell-archlinux did not have the optionflag "staticlibs" until now. all haskell packages need to have this flag otherwise their build is incorrect. see https://mailman.archlinux.org/pipermail/arch-dev-public/2013-May/025004.html

same is true for this package , but i have updated both. if you reinstall haskell-archlinux , then this package should build too.

This doesn't build for me; it says it's looking for `archlinux`, but I have haskell-archlinux installed, so it's like `cabal configure` can't find it.

Is this a problem with this PKGBUILD, `cabal` or upstream?

Hi StephenB, you are right, thank you very much for reporting this problem.

Shouldn't haskell-archlinux be listed in the depends array? I just got:
cabal2arch: /usr/share/archlinux-0.3.5/data/ghc-provides.txt: openFile: does not exist (No such file or directory)
when I tried running cabal2arch without haskell-archlinux
