Barco has stopped providing updates to their native Linux client, citing the age-old 'developer time vs ROI' argument. I'll leave this up as-is, but there likely won't be any upstream updates, well, ever.

Their official replacements are either Chromecast or something called 'MirrorOp' depending on which base unit you're using.

updated, thanks for pointing it out @nbarbey

qt4 is missing as a dependency.

You're right, of course. I shouldn't make changes to things when I've had to take a sick day and are full of nyquil. Should be corrected now.

Well, when you change the source, you should also change the package() to :

tar xzf clickshare-linux.tar.gz -C "$pkgdir/"

@thibaultvgdb, excellent idea. I'm not sure why my dumb owncloud thing decided to stop sharing it, but I guarantee that github will be more stable, long term.

I've updated the PKGBUILD to reflect the 'new' source.

The source link seems to give a 404 error. I made a new PKGBUILD:

The upstream was pre-packaged for ubuntu, which has some library oddness that it was looking for that I couldn't find in Arch for some reason that now escapes me. That's the only difference in the bit pulled from my personal owncloud setup, was to include this dependency that I couldn't otherwise satisfy.

I put this together when my last gig started using clickshare for conf room displays. I've since moved to another job and no longer have access to the hardware to keep testing; but as long as the user listed in the udev rule and my user account were set to the same thing, it always worked for me.

I tried to add my user to the disk group, then to the sys group. No luck. Still only works as root. Do you know any group a user should be part of ?

As root, the client opens /proc/scsi/usb-storage (-rw-r--r--), not as user
